'RISE’ a powerful documentary about the 1961 plane crash that took the lives of the entire U.S. figure skating team.
The United States Figure Skating Association commissioned Lisa and Nancy to produce and direct this documentary that commemorates the 50th anniversary of the 1961 U.S. Figure Skating team that perished in a plane crash on the way to the World Championships, as well as celebrate the generations of skaters who came before and after that tragic event. RISE had its theatrical premiere as part of a live Fathom event attended by every single living Olympic gold medalist at the time—and was simultaneously projected into over 500 theaters nation-wide.
